Mark was a recently retired podiatrist when he passed the facilitator’s training. His great love for this work soon found him as the House Manager and then a primary facilitator at The Natural Rest House. Mark says using Scott Kiloby’s work on a daily basis has changed his life for the better.
Cindy Brooks, LMFT, SEP, CATC IV is a licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, Somatic Experiencing Practitioner and Certified Addiction Treatment Counselor. She is Registered as a Yoga teacher (RYT-200) and Equine Interactional Professional, specializing in the treatment of trauma informed care and addiction. As a Somatic Experiencing Practitioner, she brings this therapeutic modality into group and private practice sessions. Cindy lectures to families and patients at various treatment centers and hospitals in the area. She has been in private practice for over 10 years and conduct experiential retreats in the mountains near Idyllwild, CA.
Amber is a native Texan and has worked in the addiction field for 2 1/2 years with a passion for helping the community. She is pursuing a degree in psychology and communications and is currently finishing up her CCAPP credentialing. Amber is active in various 12 step fellowships as well as the Refuge Recovery community. Amber says NRH is a very special place for her, being a truly magical space for rest, healing and change.
Leona was born and raised in Indio, California and earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Liberal Studies with emphasis in Biology from La Sierra University. She has over ten years experience working in the mental health field, adults with developmental disabilities, and now at Natural Rest House.Leona’s favorite quote: "Our greatest glory is not in never falling, but in rising every time we fall"- Confucius
Judy brings a wealth of care and experience to the Natural Rest House. As a mother of six, and having lived in four different states, she has been many places and seen many things. Most of all, Judy brings compassion and aid to our clients. Judy particularly enjoys working with those dealing with addiction. She wants all those who come to know that they are special, unique and loved.
